+ Cool beans! Burrito 101 coming to Palm Coast, in the middle of December
With a projected opening date set for the middle of December, Burrito 101 will soon open its doors as Palm Coast’s newest restaurant. It’s owned by Laura and Lee Barnes, who also own KoKoro Sushi Bar & Japanese Bistro.
“We are lovers of Latin flavors,” said Laura Barnes, who is originally from Colombia.
The restaurant will feature a burrito bar, tapas, empanadas and some Colombian specials. The restaurant will also serve frozen margaritas and frozen mojitos.
+ ‘Best Deli’ title awarded to family-owned Colletti’s Italian Deli, by Local Eats
Colleti’s Italian Deli was named “Best Deli in Palm Coast” by Local Eats just as the business heralded its four-year anniversary in November.
The deli sells only authentic Italian food. Chris Colleti owns the company with his family. The family makes most of the deli’s food at home, and the rest is shipped from Italy.
“We were surprised to get the award,” Colleti said. “But it’s good — somehow, the word’s getting out about us.”
Colleti’s Italian Deli is at 5 Utility Drive, Suite 19. Call 246-5122.

Main entrees choices, for example, are between surf and turf, veal saltimbocca, chicken picatta or frutti di mare. Early reservations are $50 per person; later ones are $75. Open bar access can be purchased for $25.
La Piazza is at 101 Palm Harbor Parkway. Call 246-6366.
+ BeachHouse Beanery helps Project Share
A Christmas tree sits inside the BeachHouse Beanery this year. On it are wishing stars, filled out by children in need. Customers can select stars, purchase the gift on it for a child in need in Flagler County, and return it to the store. Donations are being collected by the Flagler Beach Rotary Club’s Project Share.
