Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam appointed six new members last week to the Florida Agricultural Museum’s board of trustees.
Set to serve three-year terms, beginning July 1, the new members include Ron Brame, Jr., Farm Credit of Florida corporate lender; Rick Piagno, Rayonier Inc’s. Florida resource unit leader; County Commissioner Nate McLaughlin; Joe Siegmeister, assistant director of field services with the Florida Farm Bureau; Howard Griffin, a retired rancher; and Wendy Smith, of Smith Family Farms.
The first meeting with all new board members will take place 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Florida Agricultural Museum.

High School students donate to breast cancer patients

The Flagler Palm Coast High School Future Business Leaders of America class donated $580 to Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation’s breast cancer fund, which provides screening mammograms, diagnostic studies and education to local qualified women who are uninsured and seeking assistance. -
