Detectives are investigating a Friday evening shooting at the West Flagler home of a Flagler Beach police officer, officials said Monday.
Detectives are reporting Kathy MacDonald, the wife of Flagler Beach patrolman Robert MacDonald, was airlifted Friday evening to Halifax Medical Center after she suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, according to Flagler County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Debra Johnson.
She remained hospitalized Monday. The incident occurred at 6:33 p.m. at the MacDonald home, Johnson said.
The incident is under investigation and additional details will be released as they become available.

The Flagler-Palm Coast High School Interact Club is hosting a celebrity dunk tank to raise awareness and donations to end polio worldwide during Palm Coast's Arbor Day event 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Central Park in Town Center.
