Shoed I stay or shoed I go?
7:31 p.m. — 5200 Block of State Road 100 West, Bunnell. Larceny-Shoplifting. An employee of a shoe store advised that she observed two men and two women trying on shoes and making a mess on the floor with the shoeboxes. Then, she saw the suspects place shoes in their purses and exit the store.
Another employee told a male suspect to return and pay for the shoes, at which time a female suspect ran at the employee with a can of Mace and threatened to spray her with it. A male was approached, and he placed a white bag over the license plate and drove away.
The total taken was valued at $289.91.
Follow the money
1 a.m. — First Block of Cheryl Elaine Drive. Burglary-Residential. The victim stated that she left for work at 1 a.m. and returned at 4 a.m. She took a nap, and when she woke up, she noticed a trail of pennies leading to the porch.
The victim thought she might have dropped the pennies out of her pants pocket until she noticed that her five-gallon jar of pennies was missing. She stated that she keeps her doors unlocked, but she said whoever took the pennies must know her because her two dogs would not let a stranger inside.

5:27 p.m. — First Block of Florida Park Drive. Stolen vehicle. A deputy observed a yellow Corvette with a Florida tag pull into a driveway on Florida Park Drive. Earlier in the week, the deputy received an email with a picture stating that a yellow 2008 Corvette had been stolen out of Texas and was now in Flagler County.
The deputy confirmed it was the stolen car, and it was towed to the impound yard near the Flagler County Inmate Facility. No arrest was made.
10:50 p.m. — 100 Block of Black Bear Lane. Criminal Mischief. A victim stated that when she looked out of her son’s window, she noticed that one of her 6-foot fake Christmas trees, of which she had six in the yard, was on fire.
The fire department responded and put out the far. The victim stated that her neighbors might have been involved; they had called code enforcement about the victim’s yard in the past.

The Friends of A1A has produced six new videos designed to attract more cycling visitors to the 72-mile Scenic & Historic A1A Coastal Byway that travels through St. Johns and Flagler counties. Also, AAUW awards scholarships and loggerheads have arrived.
