David Ottati, who was an economic development leader and the president of the community’s hospital, was given a grand send-off May 31, at the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates.

Florida Hospital Flagler expanded by hundreds of employees under his leadership. He also is a man of great faith and was named one of the People to Watch by the Palm Coast Observer for 2011. In an interview with The Observer, he once said he sees his job as “a position of service. I’m here to serve the folks who work for this community.”

Now, Ottati will serve the community of Tavares as he takes over Florida Hospital Waterman. Former Waterman CEO Ken Mattison will replace him in Flagler County on June 10.
