You, me and the dolphin: Ouellette, Culver marry

Joseph Culver, son of Sheila and Roy Culver, and Jennifer Ouellette, daughter of Virgina Slingland, married Oct. 5, at Marineland.

“For us, it was kind of a love at first sight sort of thing,” Ouellete said.

As a couple, they often embark on weekend drives. It was on one of these adventures to their spot, Shell Bluff Park, on W. State Road 100, that Joseph took the opportunity to ask for Ouellette's hand.

Matthew John Rio, son of Robert and Mary Rio, and Dana Marie Kowsh, daughter of George and Sharon Kowsh, married Sept. 22, at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, in Flagler Beach.

The couple met and fell in love in the summer of 2008.

Kowsh is a medical science major, planning a career as a physician's assistant. Rio is a patient care technician for surgical services at Florida Hospital and attends Daytona State College to pursue a career in nursing.

Julie and Dan Bocher, of Palm Coast, welcomed a six-pound, 14-ounce baby boy Oct. 14.*
