City announces race at Palm Harbor Golf Club

Runners will invade Palm Harbor Golf Club Saturday, July 14, when the city hosts its Summer Shot Gun race.

The race, which will begin at 8 a.m., will feature both a two-mile run and a four-mile run. Runners will run along the cart paths throughout the course.

Overall first-place male and female winners, as well as first, second and third place runners in all age group categories, will be awarded medals. A Kids Fun Run will follow the main race, when all children to walk/run for ribbons.

Registration for the Summer Shot Gun Run has begun, with mail-in and online deadlines approaching in early July. Fees range from $20 to $30, depending on the date you register. The Fun Run (ages 6 and under) and all veterans with military ID can run for free. Entry fees include a tech shirt, goody bag and refreshments.

This will be the eighth race in the Palm Coast Running Series. The Palm Harbor Golf Club is located at 20 Palm Harbor Drive. Registration forms are available at www.palmcoastgov.com/summershotgun.
