This weekend: Seafood Festival swims to town center

Whether your favorite music is contemporary, rock, country, blues, Caribbean or hip-hop, you’ll hear it all on stage noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the city of Palm Coast’s second annual Seafood Festival, in Central Park and Town Center.

But that’s not all, true to its name; the festival will feature seafood from various vendors, including cooking demonstrations with Hell’s Kitchen Champion Danny Veltri.

There will also be a kids carnival/fin zone along the midway, pirate ship experience on the pond, national hermit crab racing, Disc-Connected K-9 Frisbee champion dogs magic show, a car and art show.

Admission is $3, with parking and kids younger than 12 free of charge. The event is co-sponsored by the city of Palm Coast, Beach 92.7, Floridian View Magazine, Palm Coast Ford, Intracoastal Bank, CPH Engineers, the Palm Coast Observer and Palm Coast at Town Center.

Saturday, Nov. 5
Noon to 1:30 p.m. –Warren Beck – adult contemporary
2-3 p.m. – Midnight Moxy Dance – up-tempo pop hip-hop
3-4:30 p.m. – David Lane – rock ‘n country
5-6:30 p.m. – Mark E. Walker – R&B sound/dance
6:30-8:30 p.m. – Caribbean Chillers –Jimmy Buffet tribute band
8:45 p.m. – fireworks display

Sunday, Nov. 7
11 a.m. to noon – Christian Rock
2-3 p.m. – Billy Buchanan and Free Avenue – smooth rock and blues sound
2-5 p.m. – Caribbean Chillers –Jimmy Buffet tribute band
 

Other events happening this weekend are:

Holiday Fair -- 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 5, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 156 Florida Park Drive. Event will feature jewelry, handmade crafts, books, slightly used clothing, hand baked goodies, golf equipment and homemade soup and sandwiches for lunch. Call 246-3948 or email [email protected].

First Friday Music in the Park -- 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Veteran’s Park, Flagler Beach. Free event. There will be live music and food. Email [email protected] or visit www.cityofflaglerbeach.com/firstfridays.

USPTA Junior Futures -- 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Palm Coast Tennis Center, 1290 Belle Terre Parkway. Hosted by the City of Palm Coast and Friends of Tennis, youths who cannot compete at the national USTA level can register to play in specific divisions for boys and girls under 10, 12 and 16 years of age. Domestic Violence Awareness Gala -- 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway, Room 102. Presented by the Precious Hearts Foundation. Tickets are $20. Call 986-2323.
