Three Flagler residents, who are active in the Teens-In-Flight program, have been recognized for their outstanding education and leadership skills.

Congressman Ron DeSantis has nominated Teens-In-Flight student pilot, Hannah Visintin for admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Teens-In-Flight student pilot, Emma McClimans has been accepted to Texas Christian

University, for the fall of 2016. Emma’s dad, U.S. Army Maj. Josh McClimans was killed in action in Afghanistan.

Teens-In-Flight student pilot, midshipman Ryan Peeling, who is a member of the U.S. Navy ROTC at the University of South Florida, has received the prestigious Capt. Jason

Holbrook remembrance scholarship, for outstanding leadership. Ryan will be representing the

University of South Florida at a leadership conference, conducted by the U.S. Naval Academy later this school year.
