Another Flagler County Emergency Services employee has been accepted by the state to serve on a State Management Team for Disaster Response.

Suzanne Eubanks, a 10-year county employee, is a E911 database specialist. She was accepted by the state as a member of its Gray Team, serving as needed in various duties.

Flagler County Fire Rescue Operations Chief Mike Bazanos was selected last year to serve on the Gray Team.

Florida has regional teams organized throughout the state, with trained emergency management specialists prepared to respond quickly, when needed, to disaster-type situations. Each teams is named by colors. The Gray Team is based out of northeast Florida, and assisted Flagler County during the June wildfires.

“This is an indication of the caliber of personnel Flagler County has,” County Administrator Craig Coffey said. “We are pleased to be able to give back to others in the state some of the assistance we received during the fires. I am especially pleased that our personnel is recognized as the talent needed to serve on a state level.”
