Local jeweler Robert Arthur Zetrouer will spend 25 years in prison for raping a 13-year-old girl.

Circuit Judge Matthew Foxman sentenced Zetrouer to the 25-year prison sentence in an Aug. 19 sentencing hearing after Zetrouer pleaded no contest to sexual battery of a minor by a person in custodial authority.

Zetrouer, now 65 and the owner of Zetrouer Jewelers in City Marketplace, will also be designated a sexual predator.

The single charge for which he was sentenced was one of three that were filed; the other two were dropped.

Zetrouer was arrested May 1, 2014 after the 13-year-old victim told a Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy that Zetrouer had repeatedly molested her at her home after she returned from school.

The Sheriff’s Office audio recorded a phone call between the girl and Zetrouer in which he referred to the abuse.
