Flagler County brings a pro beach volleyball tournament to the Hammock this weekend, and it’s free to the public.

“If you want to come out to see some incredible athletes and top-notch play, please join us this weekend for the Hammock Beach Resort Invitational,” said Matt Dunn, Director Tourist Development. “This event is all-professional and enlists participants based on exceptional performance and tour standing. It is the premier competition of the EVP Pro-Am 2016 tour and it’s our second time hosting.”

Matches between 24 teams (12 men’s and 12 women’s) are from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Semifinal and championship matches will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The tournament will be held at The Hammock Beach Resort, 200 Ocean Crest Drive off 16th Street. Event signage will guide spectators to free parking. Beach chairs are allowed, but no coolers, and no pets.

The Beach Sports Network will be filming.
