Palm Coast resident Joshue Venegas, 30, died in the early morning hours of May 21 in a car crash on Old Kings Road.

Venegas was driving north on the Old Kings Road at about 3:08 a.m. in a 2013 Chrysler 300 when he "failed to properly negotiate a curve in the roadway" and "veered into the southbound lane," according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Venegas' Chrysler struck the left rear side of a Dodge Ram driven by 36-year-old Palm Coast resident Brad Turner, then left the road, entered the woodline to the west, overturned, struck a utility pole and caught fire.

Venegas died at the scene of the crash, according to the report. Turner pulled over and was not injured.
