Why cause anxiety to the whole city?

Dear Editor:
I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I did not appreciate your "jokes" in this week’s edition. Why would you want to cause anxiety, if only briefly, to thousands of readers? I imagine some of the older readers didn't bother to read the Page 6 article and may still think the Page 1 articles are true.

Please skip the humor next year.

April Fool’s jokes were ‘brilliant’

Dear Editor:
Simply brilliant! Can't remember when my wife or I have laughed harder. Great, great job!

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for bringing some humor to the news

Dear Editor:
I was very surprised to read the front page of this week's Observer! I kept shaking my head, thinking I must be in some kind of alternate universe, or our town had completely lost touch with reality!

What saved me from complete befuddlement is a newspaper called Dan's Paper, which has been published on Long Island for over 40 years. They are famous for their real-sounding, yet completely bogus, news articles! The fun thing about that paper is it is April Fool's Day each week, and they scatter the fictional, yet often realistic, articles throughout the paper. You sometimes can't tell if it is real or not!

I am sure a lot of New Yorkers, particularly those on the East End of Long Island are familiar with Dan's hijinks. They even publish fake classified ads, and those can be difficult to find, but they are usually a riot!

Thanks for bringing some humor to the news! I totally enjoyed it and laughed out loud with my husband when we got to your editorial confession!

Are you sure Miss Palm Coast is from Plant City?

Dear Editor:
I enjoyed reading the "fake front page" of April 3's edition celebrating April Fool’s Day. Very funny. However, I do want to point out a possible error. I believe you placed a story meant for your "fake front page" onto the real front page by mistake.

That would be the article about the Plant City resident who was recently named Miss Palm Coast at the 2014 Miss Palm Coast, St. Augustine and Flagler County pageant. No way would a resident of Plant City (or any other city, for that matter) be named Miss Palm Coast, right? So I'm sure this article was meant for the April Fool’s Day "fake front page," right? You made a mistake, right?
