Lachiewicz and Thompson win library photo contest

Planes, trains and automobiles cover the columns at the Flagler County Public Library. The photos represent the entries in this year’s teen photography contest.

Mary Thompson won first place in the 12- to 14-year-old division, while Kadie Lachiewicz won first place in the 15- to 18-year-old division. Elizabeth Kelley took second place and Katie Young took third place.

“Photography is an expressive form of literacy,” said Sharon Fiske, youth activities coordinator at the library. “And the contest serves as another creative outlet for teens to tell a story.”
