Hurricane Irma updates for Florida Hospital Flagler

The hospital and emergency department remained open for patients with medical emergencies during the storm.

Many Floridians across the state experienced damage, power outages and flooding as a result of Hurricane Irma.

Below is an update on how Florida Hospital Flagler handled the storm:

  • The hospital and emergency department remained open for patients with medical emergencies during the storm.
  • The hospital’s outpatient facilities, as well as the freestanding outpatient facilities Town Center Surgery and Parkway Medical Plaza, are currently undergoing assessments and will reopen as soon as the evaluations are completed.
  • All Florida Hospital HealthCare Partner physician offices are closed Tuesday, Sept. 12, to be assessed and evaluated. Many physician offices will reopen Wednesday, Sept. 13, for normal business hours, depending on assessment outcomes. Patients with physician appointments should call the doctor’s office directly to confirm their appointment.

“Words cannot begin to express how impressed I am with our team working through the day and night in these harsh conditions.  Our staff’s personal sacrifice has allowed our hospitals to live up to our commitment to our community,” said David Ottati, CEO of the Florida Hospital Central Florida Division – North Region, in a release. “As the weather clears, we anticipate a large influx of patients in need after the storm and our teams stand ready.”
