Caitlyn Bernardini, a senior at Flagler Palm Coast High School, has been selected as a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Lowell, Massachusetts from June 25-27.

The honors-only program is for high school students interested in becoming physicians, or going into medical research fields.

Caitlyn was nominated by Dr. Robert Darling, the medical director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, to represent Florida. The nomination was based on her academic achievement, leadership potential, and determination to serve humanity in the field of medicine.

While in Massachusetts, Caitlyn will join students from across the United States to hear Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Science winners talk about leading medical research. She will also get advice from top medical school deans on what to expect in medical school.
