Flagler County deputy involved in crash with motorcyclist

A Flagler County sheriff’s deputy driving his patrol car Thursday evening was involved in a crash with a motorcyclist, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Deputy Jeremy Cole, 35, was southbound on Seminole Woods Boulevard at about 6:30 p.m. when he made a left turn on Sloganeer Trail in front of a Honda motorcycle heading northbound on Seminole Woods Boulevard, according to the report.

The motorcyclist, 54-year-old Selbert Anthony Mills, was thrown from the motorcycle and seriously injured in the crash. Rescuers took him to Halifax Hospital.

Cole had minor injuries. Fellow deputies took him to Florida Hospital Flagler.
