The Donut Stop was reopened on Saturday, Nov. 7, under new ownership. The restaurant is located at 500 N. State St., Bunnell. The shop is now open seven days a week. Hours of operation are 4:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 5 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday.
The shop offers a variety of doughnuts such as raised, cake and doughnut holes, all at an affordable price, averaging at .93 cents apiece. The doughnuts are baked fresh daily, but they are not the only items offered on the menu. All day breakfast includes cheesy omelette’s on homemade bread, Kolache’s, croissants with cream cheese, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters and coffee and tea beverages.
With new ownership comes new renovations. The Donut Stop now has a sitting area for costumers to stay and enjoy their breakfast. New owner, Marco Jet, bakes and sells the donuts with the help of his friends and family. The Bunnell location is the second Donut Stop owned by Jet, the other restaurant is located in Houston, Texas.
“Marco originally chose this location because of the lack of competition from chain stores, such as Dunkin’ Donuts,” Marco’s brother, Dany Hok, said. “So far, the success from the business has given us confidence that we can be successful anywhere.”

Dimare Construction applied for a $1,387,000 application for a 13,795 sq. ft. Early Learning Center at 5625 N. U.S. 1, Building 2.
TWT Restaurant Design applied for a $350,000 application for interior renovations at the Metro Diner at 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Unit 205, Island Walk.

Mallard Construction was issued a $165,000 for interior renovations at Leslie's Pool Mart in Island Walk, 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Unit 501.
Seagate Homes was issued a $1,000 for interior renovations at 185 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite 300.

Bellagio Custom Homes was issued $347,000 for a single-family residence at 53 Scarlet Oak Circle.
Skyway Builders was issued $332,000 for a single-family residence at 15 Blue Oak Lane.
Seagate Homes was issued $306,000 for a single-family residence at 62 Burning Bush Drive.
Adams Homes of NF was issued $272,000 for a single-family residence at 21 Butterfield Drive.
Seagate Homes was issued $259,000 for a single-family residence at 6 Wateing Place.
D.R. Horton Inc. was issued $252,000 for a single-family residence at 3 Waterfront Court.
