The following is a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office:

Flagler County sheriff’s deputies arrested three suspects the night of March 8 and charged them with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a victim reported that several shots were fired at him, including one that hit his vehicle’s bumper, in Palm Coast.

Deputies were called to the Kangaroo gas station at 1500 Palm Coast Parkway where Anthony Kraemer, 19, reported seeing a gold Mazda sedan with five occupants about to turn onto Brookside Lane as he sat at the intersection of Brookside and Belle Terre Parkway. Kraemer said he recognized four of the five from a previous, similar incident that occurred Feb. 20, and he knows them from school.

Kraemer said he saw a black handgun being flashed by someone in the Mazda’s backseat. When he saw the men, he immediately “floored the gas and at that time heard approximately 5-6 gunshots,’’ according to the arrest report. Deputies observed a bullet hole in the rear bumper of Kraemer’s silver Honda Accord. He was not injured.

Upon issuing an alert to local law enforcement about the suspect vehicle, an off-duty officer spotted a vehicle matching the description near London and Lewisdale drives. Deputies stopped the vehicle near Old Kings Road and Frenora Drive.

Jean Louis Steverson, 19, was identified as the driver of the vehicle, and one passenger was Derek Hall, 23. Both were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied conveyance. They were taken to the Flagler County jail without incident.

The third suspect, Phillip Haire, 18, was located at his home on London Drive and arrested on the same charges. He also was taken to the jail. All three suspects remain at the jail.

Haire was the victim of a shooting July 28, 2015, in which he was critically injured in the L Section of Palm Coast. A teenage suspect was arrested in September and charged with attempted first-degree murder in the shooting.

The investigation is continuing into Tuesday’s shooting incident. Additional charges are pending.
