+ FPC TV teams with Bright House
The Flagler Palm Coast TV production group is working with the Varsity Reporter program at Bright House Sports Network. The program provides high school students the opportunity to interact and provide sports news and stories for use on a regional sports network. Students work to assemble weekly articles and video packages that promote their school’s athletic programs, events, and student athletes.
Although FPC was accepted into the program last year, it became official when FPC TV received their first check in the mail before winter break.
“We’re learning to do sports news production just the way ESPN would do,” said senior Mike Kozlenko. “Our TV production program is a hidden gem, not many people get to come in here and work on things that have a real world application, but this is something people can see.”
