Flagler County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a string of commercial burglaries that occurred early Monday morning at two separate shopping centers in Palm Coast.

Shortly before 5 a.m., deputies responded to Flagler Plaza, on State Road 100, after being notified of a commercial burglary alarm. Once at the scene, deputies found the front glass doors on three businesses had been shattered. Initial reports indicate that the cash registers and the counters had been tampered with at all three businesses.

The businesses affected were Subway, Sharp’s Liquors, and Lovely Nails — all located in the eastern section of the shopping center.

While on scene at the plaza, other deputies were dispatched north to Utility Drive, on Old Kings
Road, where the front doors or windows of five businesses had been shattered. Cash registers had been tampered with, according to deputies.

The businesses involved were Europa Salon and Spa, Scrapbook Etc., Pet Spa, Colletti’s Italian Deli, and Lilly Green Children’s Boutique.

“Our detectives are reviewing security videos to see if we can identify any suspects,” Sheriff
Jim Manfre said.

The sheriff said all eight crime scenes also had been processed for fingerprints.

Anyone with information on these burglaries is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 586-4801 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (7477).

You may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for tips leading to an arrest.
