The Buddy Taylor Middle School drama department, under the direction of Ann Paris, performed an informal showcase after school Wednesday night in the little theater.

The costumed performances were also rehearsels for the Dec. 13 performance at the Flagler Auditorium. The Flagler Palm Coast High School thespians invited the middle school performers to take part in  the performance, which is part of the Holiday Extravaganza to benefit arts in education in Flagler County’s schools.

The Thespian Society at FPC recently competed in the district’s thespian competition under the direction of Kelly Nelson. The group received three “superiors,” five “excellents” and three “goods.” A breakdown of the scores are as follows:  Superior: John Kearney and Agata Sokolska, duet acting; Caitlin Burns, solo musical theatre; Shawn Friday, Christian Galvis and Agata Sokolska, small group acting; Excellent: Shawn Friday, solo musical theatre; Casiana Masse and Kya Stotler, duet acting; Agata Sokolska, solo musical theatre; Caitlin Burns, monologue; Christian Galvis, monologue; Christian Galvis, Caitlin Burns and Shawn Friday, pantomime; Good: Mariana Sbordone, monologue; John Kearney and Kiona Cabrera, duet musical theatre; Mariana Sbordone and Kya Stotler, duet musical theatre.

The Holiday Extravaganza runs Dec. 5-18. Visit FlaglerAuditorium.org for more.
