The FHP reports the dispatch time to be 5:57 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at 6:04 p.m. and was still on the scene as of 8:06 p.m. The FHP arrived at 6:14. Eastbound Palm Coast Parkway was blocked.

Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support were both called to the scene, indicating there was likely a serious medical emergency, according to Palm Coast Fire Chief Mike Beadle. The FHP confirms there were injuries.

The following was posted by a user on Facebook:

"Most insane thing ever. It was really like something you would see out of a movie. I was right in the middle of it on palm coast parkway just driving home and when i was passing mccharacters noticed the police lights and thought they were just pulling someone over but then saw it wasnt that...everyone started driving faster to get out of the way and i was turning left on pine lakes when i saw policemen jumping out of cars to put the spikes up to stop cars....everyone was stopping and people were screeching and yelling and honking. i guess she saw that and then made the immediate u turn by ace hardware...she just missed me and i should have been hit...she made the police car almost flipped ....the car went into the turn so fast...it was unbelievable and everyone going both directions were swerving and flying everywhere..i had to pull over to calm myself down and a nice man came over to help me also. it was really something crazy and then she had to have gone over 100 after the turn...she made it to where wendys was in a matter of seconds!"

The following information also has not yet been confirmed, and comes second or third hand via Facebook users:

A state trooper was in pursuit of a silver sedan. One witness estimated the sedan was traveling nearly 100 mph and narrowly avoided other cars. The sedan ultimately did crash into others, "which resulted in others crashing into those originally hit," according to a Facebook user who spoke with a witness. Again, that has yet to be confirmed.

Another Facebook user said the driver of the sedan, a woman, was placed in an ambulance. Then a helicopter came, and the woman was transported. Another witness confirmed a helicopter responded to the scene.

One resident wrote on Facebook that she heard wheels screeching as two law enforcement vehicles trailed her. The resident spoke to a gas station attendant who had spoken to officers. They confirmed she was going 100 mph and had hit about seven other cars during the chase. The woman might have suffered a broken neck.

More information will be posted when it's available.
