Coastal Cloud buys its property
After renting space there, since the company’s founding three years ago, Coastal Cloud has purchased the 25,834-square-foot Hammock Beach Discovery Center at 1 Hammock Beach Parkway.
Three years of success have validated Tim and Sara Hale’s decision to base their cloud consulting company here. Their
recent purchase of the Discovery Center confirms their commitment to stay. The Hales launched Coastal Cloud at a 2013 event held in the Discovery Center’s spacious lobby. Business leaders and politicians, including Florida Governor Rick Scott was in attendance.
The Hales detailed their plans to hire up to 100 technical consultants over three years, which has been met.
Coastal Cloud occupies the entire second floor of the Discovery Center. Two long-term tenants, May Management and Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, occupy most of the first floor. The remaining first floor office space the will be rented. The spacious lobby will likely be repurposed into a coffee bar or possibly a deli.
Public records indicate the selling price was $2.1 million, and the transaction closed March 31.
Cue Note Billiard hires Palm Coaster Augie Rodriguez
Cue Note Billiard Room owners John Deuble and Mica Bethea have hired Palm Coast resident Augustin “Augie” Rodriguez, Sr., as its general manager. Rodriguez recently worked at the New Europa restaurant.
Rodriguez has been involved in several successful entrepreneurial endeavors since his arrival, including consulting at several local eateries. He has decades of experience in business management and development.
“It is such a pleasure to show up at work every day and manage such a high-class restaurant and bar – people have no idea what they’re missing if they haven’t stepped inside yet,” Rodriguez said.
Owner Deuble says he is pleased with Augie’s broad network of local connections, including local law enforcement officers who operate out of the Palm Coast precinct, located just upstairs from the billiard room.
Rodriguez’ first order of business was to help alter the menu to provide a broader range of gastropub-style offerings, including burgers, appetizers, flatbreads and more. The new menu launched earlier this month.

Integral Math Academy to Offer Summer Academic Program
Marina Jarova and Galina Stingel, owners of Integral Math Academy, are launching Summer Academic Program, beginning in June. They were new entrepreneurs when they opened their learning center last August and have doubled their students over the past 10 months. They started with only two teachers and now employ eight.
“Studies show that on average, students lose about 2.6 months worth of grade-level equivalency in mathematical computation skills during their summer break,” Jarova said. “We strive to give our students hands-on learning experience and an inspirational environment that keeps them wanting to come back.”
Their summer programs are for students in grades kindergarten to 12th grade. The programs include math, reading, science and engineering, as well as Spanish and Russian languages. The first week of summer program starts on Monday, June 20, and runs for six weeks, ending the week of August 1st. Vanacore Homes to host ribbon cutting for new model home
Scott and Todd Vanacore, owners of Vanacore Homes, will host their ribbon cutting and grand opening of their award-winning Chestnut II model home in Palm Coast at 4 p.m. Wednesday May 25, at 21 Pheasant Drive, in conjunction with the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce. The ribbon cutting celebration will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and include light refreshments, gas gift cards and gift basket giveaways, as well as an Apple iPad Mini grand prize.

Advanced ICU Care recognizes Florida Hospital Flagler physician
Advanced ICU Care, the nation’s largest provider of tele-ICU services, recognized Florida Hospital Flagler ICU medical director and intensivist Dr. Gilles Chemtob with the 2016 I See You Care Award.
This award recognizes the collaboration between bedside care providers in the hospital and Advanced ICU Care’s remote critical care teams. There were four categories of recognition – hospital, administrator, doctor, and nurse – and
Chemtob was one of only eight award recipients, selected from more than 65 hospitals.
Chemtob was recognized in a ceremony on April 25, at the hospital and was also honored with a donation in his name to the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation.
“I am truly humbled by this honor,” said Chemtob. “Every day in the ICU, we strive to provide our patients with the very best care. To be one of eight recipients in the nation, it gives our team a sense of validation to the care we provide around the clock in the ICU.”

Florida Hospital Flagler has selected Carmen Bourdeau to serve as the nurse manager for the intensive care unit. In this
new role, she will be responsible for working closely with staff, physicians and leadership.
Board certified intensivist Dr. Muneeruddin Mohammed has also joined Florida Hospital Flagler. As an intensivist,
Mohammed will also work with the hospital’s critical care team ICU.
